Bruce Kaplan - Managing Director at Hazelwood Street Consultants, LLC

Bruce Kaplan is co-founder of corporate crisis management and intelligence firm, Hazelwood Street Consultants, LLC.

Mr Kaplan has personally drafted the policy language utilised by the Lloyd’s syndicates for which Hazelwood Street responds in cases of kidnap for ransom and extortion and marine piracy, maintaining competitive advantages by providing better services, as well as continually maneuvering policy wording to best keep its insureds within an ever-changing and non-uniform global legal framework. 

Bruce has directed worldwide security training and protection details, managed a broad range of special projects for governmental entities, directed physical security for oil and gas projects in Latin America, the Middle East and Africa and has trained many sovereign police and military units in specialised intelligence and security operations. Mr Kaplan has also personally responded to dozens of kidnap for ransom and extortion events, and has managed many dozens more events for a wide range of clients, principally retained by Lloyd’s of London syndicates. 

Anthony Moorhouse – Founder and Director of Strategy at Dynamiq

Anthony leads Dynamiq’s Crisis Management Team during large scale national and international crisis events that affect any of Dynamiq’s 6,000+ corporate and government clients. Anthony has provided kidnap and ransom as well as political evacuation advisory support to many major media, mining, oil and gas and government clients.

Prior to Dynamiq, Anthony was a Special Forces Counter Terrorism Commander in the Australian Defence Force.

Martin Richards 

Martin spent more than 30 years in London’s Metropolitan Police and retired as Chief Superintendent. In that time, Martin spent more than 10 years as a national and international hostage and crisis negotiator assisting the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office. 

Martin also spent five years as a kidnap and ransom specialist at a global security consulting firm. He was responsible for managing kidnap incidents and created and delivered bespoke and multi-client kidnap for ransom workshops. Martin also reviewed, advised on, and wrote numerous company kidnap procedures and plans.
