Leonie brings a wealth of experience with people, operations and reputation displaying leadership at the highest levels. With a background in international peace & security and specialising in ammunition & explosives, she understands pressure and stress both in the board room and in the community.

With over 25 years of experience with United Nations, local and international business, local and national government bodies and project management across international fields, she has seen and dealt with the impact of natural disaster, civil unrest, terrorist attacks and the long-term impacts of poverty and economic crisis. Leonie is calm, kind and has a depth of wisdom regarding people and how they operate in crisis and emergency situations, which helps in planning a response that mitigates the impact of those responses.

There have been many highlights in her career including the Asian Tsunami response in Sri Lanka, working with Sudanese and South Sudanese governments during the Darfur civil war, and working through the impact of the terrorist 911 attack in the US.
